Gone(Sequel 1)
GONE
People
often wonder what type of lyrics rappers nowadays are giving to the public;
they criticize them for the foul language they use in their songs. Rappers
believe rap music is all about lyrics so they utter whatever will sell their
music. Rap music is part of hip hop which is a culture to the black people;
graffiti on the other hand is the art in hip hop culture, so generally rap and
hip hop are culture which they exemplify. Youth love this type of music; they
are the people that keep this culture alive. Teenage girls like Tina love rap
music people in her neighborhood knew this and they encourage her to continue.
Every evening after school Tina will always stop by at the studio to rehearse
with her group. One faithful evening when she was going for rehearsal she
notice a good looking guy just standing a few meters away from the studio, this
young man is indeed handsome she was marvel by his looks but wonder where he could
have been all this while, ‘he must be a new lad in town let me just introduce myself’
she said to herself. She went over to his side and introduces herself
‘Hi you must be a new guy in town’ she enthused.
‘Oh yes how curious of you’ replied teddy.
‘Well I’m not exactly all that is obvious you
are new in the neighborhood’ she waxes lyrical.
‘Ha ha huuh what a ---
‘Why are you laughing?’ Tina interrupts.
‘I’m sorry is just the way you are talking,
very fast’ he replied smiling.
‘Oh that’s the way I do my thing, I’m a
rapper’ she stimulate. ‘That’s good I love rap music’ he looked at her with a
lot of emotion. Tina observes this and looked away.
‘My God I’m late for rehearsal I have to run!’
she exclaimed.
‘Hey I don’t even know your
name!’ he yelled
‘They call me Tina but you can call me t’ she
said.
‘Okay Tina I mean t, I’m teddy see you, what a
girl’ he whispers
Teddy must by now know what type of
girl Tina is, she is a rapper and she is full of life. That’s one trait about
rappers they talked excitedly that is how a rapper should be, utter strange
word, dress in a hip hop way, walk in a manner that is different, bounce. That
is exactly what Tina did she bounce into the studio.
‘holler holler everybody how are you all
doing’ said Tina. She is a very jovial person and she is determine to do
whatever she wants, no matter the obstacle in her way.
‘Hey t what’s up we are okay, we have been
waiting for you’ replied Williams.
‘willy I’m so sorry’.
‘Don’t worry baby girl let’s
just get down to business alright’. William a.k.a willy already high with the
rapping dose if you know what I mean. William is a old school well not so old
school, in the early 90’s willy is rated among the top freestyle artiste but
for is drug problem he could not go far, willy still believe his the best in
the game though not in the limelight but in the underground level and in the
neighborhood they believe he still have them in him. Tina knew willy will be
irk if she could not drop any rhyme tonight, so t get down to business like
willy want it.
‘Holler holler listen up guys I’m about to
drop my line are you all ready!!’ Tina roars.
‘Yeah girl drop the lyrics’ said the afro
maniac.
The afro maniac don’t listen to anybody but
his beat he always flow with his beat no matter the type of music he has a special
talent, whenever music is being play his hand and ear are glue to whatever he
listen to, his beat always goes with the rhythm, just like the drummer that
beat his drum only him and the wise one understand what his trying to say. Tina
clears her throat to begin.
‘Here we go, Chris let go the instrument, hey
afro maniac drop the beat’ Tina instructed.
‘You got it girl!’ Chris shouted.
‘Let them have it girl one time’. Afro man
with his deep voice. ‘Yes I’m going to let them have it’
‘yeah the studio is mine let’s continue from
where tupac left off, j.i and joe try to steal tupac shine, well hell no
mission impossible, j.i claim to be the best rapper but we all know he isn’t
the best pac you better come out from your shadow and take your rightful place,
then I hear you say, yeah people you know what time it is, is pac time hate by
many love by few, his coming his coming ohh his coming!! The king is coming
make way make way this is the resurgent of a gangster right before your eye,
abracadabra his gone just like the wind you best be sure because his coming
back right at you, watch your back the street is full of hooligan 12345 that’s
the fall of a gangster right there, who’s the best to replace him nobody and
who is the best rapper nobody, because rap isn’t about competition but a
tuition of word to carry along in the oblongata and for the perfection of the
lyrics training and teaching is the order of the day, a lot of them are out
there only the blessed one are the genius the other are subject to ridicule, but
remember this those who laugh they say laugh best, those who laugh last they
laugh best, guy how do you feel when people scorn you, laugh at you is okay
make fun of me, jeer at me but I’ll take it like a big sis but remember this those
who laugh last they say laugh best, those who laugh last they say laugh best, how
true is that I remember them days is all about hustling every sis for herself
is the survival of the fittest, from prostituting to drug dealing the
government say flush them all out this is no Amsterdam, praise thy lord, hallelujah
is the heaven everybody crave for, free thinker await resurrection, criminal
await repentance, repercussion is what the corrupt suffer, politicians buy
their way to heaven, the helpless are the uselessness of the useless, nobody
want to help go on get a job is what people say, they don’t want to listen huger
and frustration is all over the place then I remember this those who laugh last
they say laugh best, those who laugh last they say laugh best, but somehow they
find solace in exodus, movement of my people to heaven and pray that one day the
God they serve will surely smile on us so pray on my people pray on, then I
remember this those who laugh last they say laugh best, I say those who laugh
last they say laugh best, my people that is definitely true peace I’m out’
‘Yip-pee that’s a real deep
rap I love it’. willy was very excited
‘Thanks willy I’m glad you
like it’ said Tina
‘Its wonderful lyrics, but I
think we should work on the chorus’ Chris suggested
‘You are absolutely right’
afro man added
‘I don’t think so, I like it
to be hardcore’ Tina was reluctant she really don’t want to yield to their
suggestion
‘Guys what do you think, she
said is a hardcore rap’ willy remarked
‘I think for now we can live
it like that, I’m sure when we put our head together it will be perfect’ afro
man pointed out
‘Okay people don’t you all
think we should comment on the first line she drop’ Chris recommended
‘What’s wrong with the first
line? Willy asked
‘Well the part she said j.i
and joe try to steal tupac shine, I think that’s a bit controversial. Remarked
Chris
‘No I don’t think so, people
will love to hear that part it’s just a rap thing nobody will take offence in
that’ willy added
‘I don’t mean to disrespect anybody I only decided to
add that to make it interesting, nothing personal about it’ explained
