NATIONAL SYMBOL As a nation we need to have some kind of spiritual value that drive the citizen, not a statue name after someone but a spiritual Being that encapsulate our feeling, especially at this period when everybody is security conscious, creating something that is metaphysical incline will go a long in protecting the citizen and make people act according to their norms and tradition. Having said this the ORANMIYAN staff is a typical example of a spiritual Being, as a matter of fact when I saw the image on my Facebook timeline I said to myself, Osun state government should make that particular spot a national identity and create a big statue of ORANMIYAN and the staff for every curious Nigeria to see where the Yoruba people and their Language originate from, history has that Yoruba lineage has his history trace to ORANMIYAN who actually disappear and left his staff standing, the ORANMIYAN staff should also be inscribe in our national flag as well as in our national team, although Nigeria is a multi ethnic nation, all other spiritual value can also be inculcate into our national consciousness
